Club CEO + Direrctor

Juyel Hussain

Our CEO Juyel Hussain founded FC Wood Green in 2008, and as a result established the football club in 2020 — through his passion for providing people with access to a high quality and well-rounded experience in sport.

Holding the UEFA B Licence, his professional career in coaching had begun in 2003. Since then, this career would go on to unfold and blossom into creating many inspiring and rewarding experiences.

In brief, these experiences revolve around working with professional teams around the world, including; Italy, Spain, USA, Netherlands and the UK. Furthermore, additional sports and fitness qualifications were studied and accomplished along this path, accompanied by a BSC Honours degree and a route into teaching.

Club Welfare Officer

Alfie Hemington

Alfie is a dedicated and intelligent individual with many years of experience working alongside top sports leaders and professionals, and so is valued as a powerful force at FC Wood Green.
 

Having qualified through an intense election, Alfie displays his ability to remain sharp in focus, and ensure a professional and thorough job is accomplished in any given situation.
 

Moreover, he is valued for his impressive development and promotion of players' welfare and the health and safety aspects across the club and the community.

Club Ambassador + Youth Development Coach

Paul Venus

As a professional and school Head Teacher by trade, Paul is highly respected and regarded as an admirable person across the club. He often acts in ways that supports others' welfare, as well as and upholding strong moral standards. This sets him apart as a fantastic role model to what FC Wood Green stands for.

It is without a doubt that Paul is highly valued right across the club, as he sets a fantastic example. His solid work ethic and standards defines the context and culture of FC Wood Green.

Men's First Team Captain

Nabeel Hashim

Nabeel is a very experienced and competent individual in his business skills, as a player and a coach. This level of intelligence has enabled him to support the growth of the club, and establish a well-oiled machine in FC Wood Green.

Having competed at elite levels across England and Spain, his experience has been able to help players develop at FC Wood Green, whether through captaining the First Team or coaching the youth players across our youth teams and development centre.

Men's First Team Vice-Captain

Aidan Bowstead

Aidan is an outstanding individual and sets a fantastic example to those around him. Aidan works hard to be the effective leader that his colleagues would be proud of.

Aidan ensures to assist the learning of students + senior players in any way possible to the best of his abilities. Most of this teaching projects through his positive examples both on and off the field.

Men's Development Team Coach

Pavlos Skaperas

Pavlos is very experienced footballer, having played at most levels within the game, accompanied by playing in Greece's fourth division. In addition, he holds a fantastic CV in managerial roles in various companines.

In respect of this experience and his positive examples, he has been able to help the players at FC Wood Green reach new heights to their levels.

Ishaq Islam

Ishaq is a very humble and willing individual in his desire to lead and help others grow.

Having arrived at the club with little experience, Ishaq has displayed an outstanding level of attitude to learning, and as a result has proved to himself that he can reach a new heights, and so this example is what he likes to set those around him; in that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

Men's Development Team Vice-Captain

Marc De Matos

Marc is a hard working individual who loves a challenge. When he first joined the club, it was evident that he was full of enthusiasm to learn and get better with the tasks in front of him.

Moreover, Marc has the capacity to take on the new goals and put his mind to achieving positive results. With his hard efforts, he has now developed into a more equipped and talented team member.

Youth Development Coach

Jamie Brooks

Jamie is a multi-talented individual who adds versatility, and as a result he is able to adapt to any given situation. This level of competency allows him to solve-problems pretty efficiently.

His strong level of IQ, as well as skillset has demonstrated valuable input at FC Wood Green, and consequently these valuable skills and knowledge have been transferred to the youth players at our club.
